AFC Croydon Athletic's Louis Blake (below) was sent off in an FA Cup preliminary game with Colliers Wood for exposing himself to the referee.

The 21 year-old came on as a second half substitute to make his debut for Croydon, but the referee soon noticed that Blake's undershorts were not the same colour as his kit shorts, so ordered him to change.

With no spare, Blake returned to the field commando, and in order to prove to the referee that all was now above board he pulled down the front of his shorts far enough for the referee to get the idea. He was not amused however, and sent off the player for indecent exposure.

‘I was gobsmacked, I was shocked and I was angry. I just pulled my shorts forward a bit to show him there was nothing there and he gave me a red,’ said Blake.

More significantly, Croydon Athletic went on to lose the game 6-2.
