What. A. Game.
Manchester City have beaten Barcelona in an absolutely ridiculous game of football where Barcelona had a terrific first half, only to be dominated by City in the second half. The fact that they didn't seem to bother with defending was a slight problem for the Spanish team in the second period.
The Twitterati can be a demanding lot at times when it comes to football. Their tongues are sharp and quick. Hard to satisfy and easy to upset, they are a fickle lot. But spectators of the match couldn't believe their eyes at the quality of the fare on offer as two goals from IIkay Gundogan and a free-kick from Kevin de Bruyne sent City into dreamland.
It was a game of insane intensity, right from the start.

Tributes were paid all over, starting off with that well-known poet, Alan Smith.

Barcelona complaining that Aguero handled. Gundogan drilled ball in. City attacking wonderfully. 3-1. Great game.

City have been brilliant. One of the few clubs in the last eight years with an attack capable of taking the game to Barca's porous defence.
