From next season Premier League clubs are going to start seeing the cash roll in from the new TV deal. It's going to change things significantly and what we're seeing this season may become more of a regular scenario whereby middle of the road Premier League clubs have the ability to go out and sign some of Europe's most sought after talent.
The likes of Leicester and Crystal Palace have shown what a few smart purchases can do and as the money begins to flow in, the regular top 4 may become a thing of the past.
While we're not there quite yet, we do have an early indication of what may be about to follow. Bournemouth are looking like they may be about to gazump Watford for an Argentine attacker that cost Roma the best part of €25 million just over a year ago.
It hasn't worked out particularly well for Juan Manuel Iturbe so you're not going to see Bayern or Barca attempting to sign him but Bournemouth and Watford? It really is the dawn of a new age.
At the weekend it seemed like Watford had a deal tied up. €1.5 million for the rest of the season with €18 million to make it permanent. However, it now seems that either Watford have had a change of heart or Bournemouth have simply made a better offer.

Italian transfer guru in chief Gianluca Di Marzio has been reporting that Iturbe could now be on his way to join up with the likes of Harry Arter and Eunan O'Kane at Bournemouth.

Bournemouth blowing Watford out of the water for a 22 year old Argentine attacker who cost over €20 million after a stellar season with Verona in Serie A, it's a whole new world. Many may point to the fact that Iturbe's stock has fallen considerably over the past year but for Bournemouth to be even able to offer the wages that he will command is a very good indication of just how much English football is beginning to race ahead in terms of the money available to the lower to mid table clubs.
