Paul Pogba has taken pelters far and wide from fans and journalists a like because of the different haircuts every week, a shoe obsession, spending too many hours on social media, and of course his performances on the field, fairly or unfairly.

Reports emerged yesterday that the Frenchman's agent, Mino Raiola, had offered the Frenchman to Man City in January. While his manager Jose Mourinho, rubbished the report, it appeared to unsettle the midfielder's first half performance.

Failing to track his runner's, misplacing passes, Pogba and his side were obliterated by a rampant Man City in the first half, goals from Kompany and Gundogan, had City 2-0 ahead at half time.

However, Mourinho, needed a reaction in the second half, and he got in spades from the most criticised player inside Old Trafford - two goals in less than 2 minutes sparked an incredible flip-flop as criticism switched to delight.

Twitter reacts to his second half performance:

Liam Gallagher is upset with the performance of referee Mike Dean, but its particularly unhappy with the commentary of Martin Tyler,

What a lovely place Twitter is.

Judging by Pogba's first half performance it would have been no surprise to see Mourinho push him out the revolving door at Old Trafford. However, judging his second half heroics, surely The Special One will now begin to construct this United side around the Frenchman.
