Chelsea beat Arsenal (again). Jesus scored (again). Liverpool made a pig's ear of a game against a relegation-threatened side (again)

It was business as usual in the Premier League this weekend. There's a serious dogfight down the bottom of the table, not so much at the top unfortunately. We dug through the many many stats to bring you the five most interesting nuggets of info from this weekend.

1-nil to the Hawthornes men

Meet West Brom. The new Stoke

Since Tony Pulis took charge of West Brom, they have won by a 1-0 score-line on 13 occasions - no other Premier League side can better that total in that time [ Birmingham Mail]

That's such a typical Tony Pulis stat, but it explains how the Baggies are sitting comfortably in 8th position, defying a lot of pre season predictions.

That feeling when you know that you're quite good at football, the stats say you're quite good at football, but your body doesn't let you play football enough.  Andy Carroll has 20 Premier League goals since 2014/15 despite making just 33 starts. [Squakwa]

Carroll grabbed another goal during West Ham's comeback. Unfortunately, he appears to have picked up yet another injury. When he's fully fit, Carroll does the business. It's just making sure he's fully fit seems to be West Ham's problem

Gabriel Jesus is the 5th player to score on his first two PL starts for Man City. He joins illustrious company (Geovani, Robinho, Emmanuel Adebayor and Kevin De Bruyne) [Opta]

His brace against Swansea taking a little bit of pressure off of Pep. The stat backs up the new signing keeping Sergio Aguero out of the starting team. That's Aguero, Man City's top Premier League scorer of all time.

It's getting worse and worse for Claudio Ranieri and the champions. Just two points separate the bottom six, with Leicester right in there after being thoroughly thrashed 3-0 by Man United. It's a far cry from this date last year when they were sitting pretty on top of the table.

Their next three games are an FA Cup replay with Derby on Wednesday, dare we say a six pointer against Swansea and then a trip to Sevilla in the next round of the Champions League.

One big problem - they're seriously struggling in front of goal.

United have finally moved on

Manchester United were impressive in demolishing Leicester, and their unbeaten league run now stretches back fifteen games. That's a standard enough stat - until Opta pointed out that it's the first time they've gone 15+ unbeaten since Alex Ferguson retired.

If they hadn't started so badly, United could well be in the top four fighting for second (Chelsea would still have won the league). Ryan Bailey chimed in with another fact which shows that United are finally getting over their ex.
