Despite the high of becoming the first man to win a world title in their first PPV event at Summerslam last weekend, Bray's Finn Balor was forced to relinquish his WWE Universal title on Monday Night Raw due to injury.
Balor cut an emotional promo as the crowed chanted "YOU DESERVE IT!" (the title, not the injury) with Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon in the ring, and WWE.com later issued a statement regarding the injury that cost him his title.
Finn’s injury was pretty severe, more severe than normal. A really high energy injury, it did more damage than a standard shoulder dislocation where you simply tear the labrum. The prognosis is excellent, however. We were able to fix it all and put it back where it came from. I’m anticipating him getting back at full speed.
Good news that a full recovery is expected, but Finn updated his twitter followers as to how he was getting on with a pretty gruesome photo from hospital.
Many people may think that wrestling is "fake", but the injuries are very real.

Ouch.
Check out Balor addressing the Raw crowd on Monday night below:
Hopefully we see him back in action soon, there's a real buzz about his rise to stardom and it's great to see another Irishman capture the hearts of the audiences in the US.
Get well soon Finn Balor.
