Keith Andrews has been in a difficult spot in recent months.

After being deemed surplus to requirements at Bolton Wanderers, the Irish international midfielder was loaned out to Watford, where he started well by doing things such as this absolutely delicious assist, before being frozen out of the first-team completely.

Having recently spoken about his situation to Goals On Sunday, where he likened his lack of training and match opportunities as being on "gardening leave", Andrews admitted he was hoping for the January transfer window to provide some respite in the form of a loan to a club where he could actually play.

Well thankfully, that seems to be the case, as MK Dons manager Karl Robinson revealed that the Dubliner is set to join the Milton Keynes outfit in the not too distant future.

We've spoken to Watford and Bolton and unofficially agreed terms with the clubs and Keith. Keith can't train. He's not our player. But he's in Milton Keynes.

This will be Andrews' second spell with the MK Dons, after he had a fantastic time there between 2006 and 2008, where his performances saw him sign for then Premiership club Blackburn Rovers, and earn his first Ireland cap.

Lets hope the deal gets finalised soon and Andrews can get back to playing.
