The Republic of Ireland men's team have dropped out of the top 50 nations in the world, following the latest Fifa World Rankings which were released just after this month's international break.
June proved a difficult month for Stephen Kenny's side, not only did they drop in FIFA rankings, now ranked at 52nd but their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2024 were dealt a real blow.
The 2024 Euros seem to be slipping away from the boys in green following their recent matches. Kenny's side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Greece in Athens, which could prove costly in the future of Ireland securing a spot in Euro 2024 or not.
Ireland did however redeem themselves to their Irish fans somewhat when they went out and beat Gibraltar 3-0 days later to get their first win of their Euro 2024 qualifier campaign.

Another one of Ireland's Group B opponents ranks in the top ten, the Netherlands secured a 7th place rank in the latest FIFA rankings.
Greece effectively swapped places with Ireland following their 2-1 victory. They now rank in the 49th spot, the place Ireland held prior to heading into the international matches.
