The appeal by Luis Suarez and the Uruguayan FA have been turned down by the FIFA Appeal Committee. He will have to serve the entirety of the four month ban from all football related activities that was originally enforced.

The decsion to reject the appeal can still be overturned if the either Suarez or the Uruguayan FA make an appeal to the Court of Arbitration,
