FIFA have today released their nominations for this year's Puskas award, with Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah all getting their strikes put forward for the prestigious award.
Bale's spectacular overhead kick in the Champions League final makes the list, as does Ronaldo's strike versus Juventus. Benjamin Pavard's sumptuous half volley against Argentina also gets the nod.
Portugal's Ricardo Quaresma gets a nomination for his trivela goal versus Iran, as does Messi's strike against Nigeria and Denis Cheryshev's long range opener against Croatia.
Mohamed Salah's goal in the Merseyside derby completes the more high profile picks on the list.
