Former Chelsea left-back Felipe Luis was speaking to the media moments after he left the pitch at the Nou Camp, where his Atletico Madrid side lost 2-1 to Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final tie.
After taking the lead through Fernando Torres, Atleti then saw their striker sent off for a second yellow after a foul on Sergio Busquets, much to the protestation of the players in navy on the night.

In his post match interview, Felipe Luis, who has surprisingly good English by the way, claimed that Atletico were playing "against everybody" because it would be bad for UEFA if Barca were knocked out at this stage of the competition.
It's totally unfair.
But, we knew this would happen. It's not easy to play against Barcelona in the Champions League, because it's a club with a lot of history and it's very dangerous [for UEGA] if they go out at this stage, so we have to play against everybody, and every thing.
Those comments, however much we admire his honesty, are not likely to go down well with UEFA at all.
Luis was perhaps letting his emotions get the better of him, as when Barca's Javier Mascherano was asked if the yellow card was deserved, he gave the much more sensible answer of:
I don't have opinion.
Hopefully no action is taken against Felipe Luis, but we wouldn't hold our breath. Those comments are clearly a result of the siege mentality that Diego Simeone instills in his players, but does he have a point? You can watch his interview in full here:
