NBC have published the data as to who is the fastest soccer player in the Premier League, and zooming away at the top is Ireland's own Shane Long.
Long's searing pace will come as no surprise to any Irish fan who has watched him chase long balls hoofed into the channels for years, nor will it be easily forgotten by German defenders.
But it is slightly surprising to hear that Long is the fastest soccer player in England's top division.
Long has hit a top speed of 35.31 km/h this season, shading it slightly ahead of second-placed and wonderfully-named Lynden Gooch of Sunderland, who clocked a top speed of 35.19 km/h.
The data was compiled by Opta, who measured the top speed reached by each League player during every game in the season thus far, and found that Long had clocked a higher top speed than anybody else.
Here's the top ten in descending order, featuring two players from Arsenal and Southampton, and surprisingly, none from Liverpool.
Fastest soccer player
10. Hector Bellerin (Arsenal) – 34.77km/h
8 = Maya Yoshida (Southampton) – 34.78 km/h
8 = Theo Walcott (Arsenal) – 34.78 km/h
7. Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) – 34.79 km/h
6. Eric Bailly (Manchester United) – 34.84 km/h
5. Andre Gray (Burnley) – 34.87 km/h
4. Jamie Vardy (Leicester City) – 35.10 km/h
3. Kyle Walker (Tottenham) – 35.18 km/h
2. Lynden Gooch (Sunderland) – 35.19 km/h
1. Shane Long (Southampton) – 35.31 km/h
Some surprises in there: namely Long's Southampton teammate Maya Yoshida, Eric Bailly and the fact Hector Bellerin isn't higher up.
Also slightly surprising is the fact that new Leicester signing Ahmed Musa and Liverpool's Sadio Mané didn't make the list either.
Nonetheless, it's pretty great to see Long up there as the fastest soccer player in England's top division.
Hopefully, he recovers from the hamstring injury he picked up last night in Moldova quickly, so the Premier League's defences can be reacquainted with Long's burning pace.
Not that they're in any rush for that, mind.
