It's been a bad couple of weeks for fantasy football players. The success of your team has essentially come down to whether or not you hopped off the Vardy/Mahrez bandwagon in time. That doesn't mean completely abandoning the Leicester pair but, in retrospect, switching the captaincy elsewhere for the first time in a couple of months may have been a good idea.

No goals/assists for Ozil, De Bruyne, Mahrez, Vardy, or Ighalo..
Not even looking at the fantasy team this week. #Bleek— Balls.ie (@ballsdotie) January 2, 2016
It was a bad week for pretty much everyone but at least there was the assumption that it was temporary. Perhaps not. It may seem unimaginable, but it may be time to get rid of Vardy after Leicester confirmed that the league's joint top scorer this season would be undergoing an operation to rectify a groin problem and he will be out for up to two weeks.
Time to get Wayne Rooney in after his scoring return this weekend? Or perhaps a shock run of form for Andrej Kramaric?
Away from the world of fantasy, it's a necessary evil for Leicester. According to BBC Radio, the club are taking the decision to do without Vardy for a relatively short period of time in an effort to prevent further problems in the future.
