YouTuber Harry Hesketh has built a massive following on youtube by playing FIFA. The Hashtag United member has over 800,000 subscribers on youtube and has played FUT on London buses and outside every Premier League ground.
His latest video will be of interest to Irish football fans as he's travelled to Ireland to play FUT outside of every League of Ireland Premier Division ground.
From Dundalk to Cork passing by Dublin and Sligo, it was a hell of a journey for him.
The rules
The rules he set were quite simple: his team would be composed of only Irish players and/or players with Patrick as their first name. Star players like George Best, Patrick Kluivert, Patrick Vieira, Roy and Robbie Keane featured in every game. For ever game he played, he needed to have at least one player with a link to the club. Sone players included Derry native James McClean, ex-Sligo Rovers player Seamus Coleman. But he also used current players from the clubs such as Jonathan Afolabi for Bohemians, Andy Boyle for Dundalk and James Moylan for Shelbourne.
All in all, it's a fun League of Ireland travelogue. Hesketh arrived via the ferry and headed straight for Dundalk. He then went to Weavers Stadium in Drogheda where he didn't manage to get into the stadium. With not much Wi-Fi he had trouble playing the game but still manage to finish it somehow.
Dublin was his next destination where he would also go and see the Dublin derby game between Saint Patrick's Athletic and Bohemians in Richmond Park.
He faced some difficulties for the game he played at Dalymount Park. A man passing by in the car asked Hesketh if he wanted to join the Bohemians E-sport team as they are looking for a new FIFA player.
Then he continued his little Dublin trip by playing games at the UCD Bowl and Tolka Park with no major problems.
The sun went down and it was time to head to Richmond Park where he watched Bohemians win the Dublin derby 2-1 over rivals St Patrick's Athletic. After the game, Hesketh sneaked behind the announcer's box and played a FIFA game one hour and a half after the real game. Unfortunately for him, he got kicked out before his FIFA match was over.
Only three clubs were left so he headed north to Derry. The rain started pouring down and nearly broke his computer. He still managed to play a game with McClean as the captain in front of the Brandywell.
His penultimate game was played in Sligo where he stayed the night. This was by far the most eventful destination. When he arrived at the hotel, he forgot he was going out in town that night and he only had joggers. He decided to go and buy some trousers in town. His cameraman lost his phone in a Sligo pub so had to run back quickly to get it before going to The Showgrounds. He then managed to enter the stadium and play a game of FIFA an hour before the real game between Sligo and Cork started. Young Sligo Rovers fans gathered around him in the stands as kickoff for the LOI game was getting closer.
