Radamel Falcao is on his way to Chelsea, there seems to be no doubt about that. The Colombian is on Copa America duty in Chile but it looks like he will complete a loan deal from Monaco by the end of the week. With Didier Drogba having departed for the second time, the deal for Falcao seems like a good idea.
The pressure will be off and if Mourinho can get him back to anywhere near his pervious form he will serve as a more than adequate backup to Diego Costa. But where does that leave Loic Remy?
You'd have to imagine that Falcao would not come in as third choice. That means Remy will be bumped down the pecking order and with Mourinho well known to prefer just one striker, playing time for the Frenchman could be limited.
The Telegraph are reporting that Remy has already indicated his unhappiness with Falcao's arrival and he is considering an offer to join from former boss Alan Pardew at Crystal Palace. That may be a bit of a step down for Remy but, if he does go, he may be missed by Mourinho considering Costa's injury record and the uncertainty surrounding Falcao's form.
