Whether or not that is true is open to debate. 'The Best Major Tournament Fans In The World' might be closer to reality.
Ireland's next home game will be against Oman at the Lansdowne Road on August 31st. The team will likely still be riding the crest of Euro 2016 goodwill at that stage, so attendance is probably going to be decent. Beyond that, should Ireland not get off to a positive start in World Cup 2018 qualifying, how many will turn out to see the team is questionable.
