FAI chief executive, John Delaney, appeared on Newstalk with Pat Kenny this afternoon to talk about the appointment of Martin O'Neill as the new Ireland manager with Roy Keane as his assistant. Delaney says that there was no impediment to their appointment and expects them to be unveiled on Saturday.
It is expected that there will also be a backroom team featuring former Leicester player Steve Guppy, Seamus McDonagh and Steve Walford and that the entire management package will come to €2 million in salaries.
