The magic of the FA Cup is back for another season, and it's thrown up some cracking fixtures for the third round to be played at the start of January. There are 32 ties to be played in the hope of dethroning current champions Arsenal.

Jurgen Klopp's first exposure to the magic of the FA Cup will see the Reds travel south to Exeter. Arsenal have a Premier League challenge in Big Sam's Sunderland. Manchester United will host Sheffield United at home, before a goalless draw sees them have the replay at Bramall Lane. Jose Mourinho will be hoping that Chelsea's form improves enough for them to get past the might of Leyton Orient or Scunthorpe.

Salford City didn't get the Premier League glamour tie everyone wanted, but will host Championship Derby should they beat Hartlepool in the replay.

It's a third round where all of the big guns managed to avoid each other, hopefully meaning that we will get more tasty games later. Southampton and Crystal Palace is probably the most attractive fixture of the round, with Alan Pardew going back to his old cup.
