11:22: Full time at the Camp Nou. It finishes 3-2. A fairly dull first half exploded to life in the second. Barcelona will be fustrated that they go to Madrid with only a single goal lead. They dominated throughout with Real only having a bright ten minute spell in the second half. The second leg is perfectly poised with Madrid needing a goal. Thanks for joining us. It's been emotional.

11:17: Here is Xavi's goal which looks like it will be the winner.

11:14 GOAL! Victor Valdes with a horror show. He takes about five touches too many and Di Maria nips the ball off of him and taps into an empty net.

11:08: Expect this to lead Marca in the morning. Was Pedro offside for the equaliser?

11:06: GOAL. Xavi makes it 3-1. Iniesta plays it through to his partner in crime and Xavi applies the finish. Those two are just magic.

11:01: As we mentioned at the start of the game, that goal sees Messi level Cesar Rodriguez's record of 14 goals against Real Madrid. He might just overtake that record.

10:58: Penalty Barcelona!. Andres Iniesta is brought down in the box by Sergio Ramos. Messi converts. Barca lead 2-1.

10:54: Real have well and truly thrown the shackles off and are attacking Barca at will. A succession of shots from Ronaldo, Ozil and Higuain are blocked by a somewhat struggling Barca.

10:52: Another raid from Dani Alves finds him with space in the box but his shot is saved. Gerard Pique heads over from the corner. Here is the Ronaldo goal :

10:48: This game has exploded to life in the last few minutes. How annoyed will Mourinho be that Real conceded right from the kick-off? and has Ronaldo replaced Messi as the dicisive clasico player? That's 4 in 4 for him. Messi has gone over 400 minutes without scoring against Real.

10:45: GOAL : Pedro! Right from the kick-off Barcelona break, Javier Mascherano plays Pedro in and he rifles the ball past Cassilas.

10:44: GOAL: Cristiano Ronaldo has smashed home a header from a corner. Away goal for Real!

10:42: Alexis Sanchez goes down again in the box but again his claim is waived away. There is a pattern forming here.

10:40: Sergio Busqets is in a heap on the floor after Raul Albiol breathes next to him. Albiol is booked. Busquets looks set for an amazing recovery.

10:35: We are off in the second half. Here's how tight Coentrao and co got to Messi in the first.

10:30: Here's a fun half-time fact:

Recommended

I bet he fixed his shorts beforehand too.

10:17: Half time. Barcelona 0-0 Real Madrid. A purists clasico so far. Barca with more possession and the better chances, but Real fairly comfortable. Do join us for the second half where there will be goals. I promise.

10:12: A picture has emerged on the twittersphere of Jose and Tito shaking hands. We came for blood lads, stop this sensible carry-on.

10:09: Alexis Sanchez goes down in the box following a challenge from Fabio Coentrao. Barca's screams for a penalty are dismissed. On second viewing, Sanchez went over.

10:03: Iker Cassilas is finally forced into action as he tips a fierce Pedro drive over.

10:01: A counter attack from Real leads to a shot by Karim Benzema being blocked by Javier Mascherano. Despite having hardly any of the ball, the direct running of Mesut Ozil and Camp nou villian Ronaldo are causing Barca problems.

9:58: The game is just starting to open up a little. Barcelona's possession is starting to find gaps in the last third with Lionel Messi again finding space on the edge of the box but his left foot shot goes wide.

9:53: Xabi Alonso picked up the first booking of the game for the following on Sergio Busquets. Should you be booked for fouling Busquets? Count the rolls.

9:50: Huge chance for Lionel Messi. Xavi finds Dani Alves down the right hand side, his cut back reaches Messi just inside the box but his curling shot goes over. Barcelona are starting to find their rythmn.

9:47: The first real shot in anger. Some quick passing and interplay from Barca finds Gerard Pique 35 yards from goal. He says sod this and lashes one wide. He's been watching too much Gary Cahill.

9:42: Here's our view from the Camp Nou pressbox just before kick off. Ok, it's Andy Mitten's.

9:39: It's hasn't been the frantic start you would expect for a clasico. Real are content to leave Barca have the ball in their half but are closing relentlessly when they cross the halfway line.

9:30: Of course Cristiano Ronaldo has some fairly decent stats to his name too. He has scored in his last 3 visits to Barcelona and has scored in the last 3 clasico's. Doesn't do in the big games...We are off at the Camp Nou.

9:27:Via @MessiStats - Lionel Messi has 30 goals in 16 games at the Camp Nou in this calender year. You would have to fancy him to add to   that. He could also join Ceser as the leading Barca scorer in the clasico's on 14, if he scores tonight.

9:18: Barcelona; Valdes - Alves Pique Mascherano Adriano - Xavi Busquets Iniesta - Pedro Messi Alexis.

Real Madrid; Casillas - Arbeloa, Ramos, Albiol, Coentrao - Xabi, Khedira, Özil - Callejón, Ronaldo, Benzema

9:15: Good evening and welcome to our liveblog of the first El Clasico of the season. It's Barcelona v Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup first leg from the Camp Nou. This is the first instalment of this epic rivalry this season and we are guaranteed goals, red cards and people even get poked in the eye sometimes.

Of course Tito Vilanova is now the main man at Barca and we are hoping he exacts revenage on Jose during their pre game handshake. Real arrived in Catalonia this morning and were greeted by fans and banners with some very questionable maths.

For those of you lost in Sergio's hair, that banner read; Messi + Xavi + Iniestia + Villa = Cristiano. The only way that would work is with some serious editing on FIFA '12. Team news to follow..
