This great extract from Dennis Bergkamp's autobiography Stillness and Speed details how he views his former managers, Arsene Wenger, Johan Cruyff and Louis Van Gaal.
While Bergkamp doesn't directly criticise any of them, one would be forgiven for taking from it that he was a little uneasy with the approach of Louis Van Gaal. It doesn't take Freud to deduce that there's a good chance Bergkamp is talking about himself when he refers to the 'Rembrandt' among ten mediocre players.
Despite the insinuation that Van Gaal stomps out the freedom players have to go off script perhaps that could be a good thing for United. After all, you only have to look at Sunday's game between Chelsea and Liverpool to see that discipline can prove most fruitful.
