We're not entirely sure why but Irish players playing in far flung lands always manages to peak the interest around these parts. Roy O'Donovan tearing things up in Singapore (now of Australia's Central Coast Mariners) and Caleb Folan showing the Myanmar league how it's supposed to be done, that's much more interesting than the run of the mill move to League 1 or 2.
In that regard, Andy Keogh is of particular interest. Trap's favourite go-to substitute was on fire in the A-League up until a transfer scandal brought his time with Perth Glory to an end. Instead of move back to the English lower leagues, Keogh opted for a move to Thailand with Ratchaburi FC.
Five months into his Thai odyssey however, and he's now decided to cut his ties and return to Perth Plory.

Speaking after his re-signing was announced, Keogh told of how his stint in Thailand didn't exactly go to plan after nine league appearances and no goals to his name.
I’ve always said that I left Perth with a heavy heart. My stint in Asia didn’t work out the way I intended, however I’m glad to have teamed up yet again with Kenny Lowe and the boys at Perth Glory.
Keogh has signed a deal to the end of the 2017/18 season and while he can't currently play as a result of the club's foreign player quota currently full, Perth have suggested that he could be added to the squad if another player can be moved on in time.
