Ex-Valencia President Erupts With Expletive-Laden Rant On Current Owners

Valencia are in full-blown crisis mode.

With the team sitting just one place above the relegation zone, on goal difference no less, it's hard to imagine that things have gotten worse from when Gary Neville was sacked as manager, but the running of the club has sparked protests from fans who are apoplectic at what has happened under the ownership of Peter Lim.

It doesn't help that with the team clearly in dire need of big signings this January window, the club has made approaches for Simone Zaza and Patrice Evra. Not exactly the men to pull a team out of a La Liga relegation battle.

But few people appear to be as upset as former president Paco Roig.

Speaking to Marca, Roig launched a stunning assault on director of football Jesus Garcia Pitarch, who he believes is not getting enough blame for his transfer dealings, as the fans have accused him of merely lining the pockets of superagent Jorge Mendes with the signings of Nani and Ezequiel Garay, and bringing in former Benfica striker Rodrigo who has not been performing at the desired level.

And he really didn't hold back...

Mr. Garcia Pitarch needs to leave because he's made a shit team. Garcia Pitarch does nothing but say stupid things and has brought us players that are fucking shit.

What has Garcia Pitarch done to be leading the 3rd club in Spain? I'm up to my balls with so many lies. He says that he wants to leave but they won't let him... He should just leave!

Why would he sign a player for 30 million when he's shit? Rodrigo is not worth 30 million, even if you're drunk as piss. Valencia is fucked and in bad shape. It's a disaster. With all of the pain that gives me, Valencia look dead to me.

When it comes to Peter Lim, Roig's problem is that he insists on working out of his home in Singapore, and demands that managers travel to meet him. He also took a dig at Gary Neville, who the ex-Valencia president described as the worst coach he had ever seen.

This guy, why does he has to take them to Singapore? Does he know anything about football? Prandelli had to go to his Town. The one who was a pundit who is the worst coach I've ever seen, the Englishman (Gary Neville), also had to go to his Town.

Wow.

It really does look bleak for Valencia. It's hard to imagine that they were a Champions League club last season, but are now facing a battle to maintain their top-flight status.

There's still a long way to go, but based on what is being said by those in a position to bring in new players, the prospects don't seem to be improving.
