Patrice Evra says he will shake Luis Suarez' hand ahead of the pair's meeting in the Champions League final, but has warned the Uruguayan that he will 'feel his presence' on the pitch in three weeks time.
Suarez was banned for eight games after racially abusing the French left back when they clashed at Anfield in 2011. Both clashed again a year later following Suarez' lengthy ban, with the Uruguayan striker refusing to shake Evra's hand pre-game.
Evra seems keen to put the incident behind him, but is adamant that he will re-familiarise himself with his old adversary in Berlin:
I am proud to be what I am, I am proud about my colour and I will shake his hand, it is no problem, but I will make sure he feels my presence on the pitch.
The Frenchman also believes the Bianconeri have every chance of toppling the favourites in Juve's first Champions League final since 2003:
People forget Juventus is a team with a lot of players that have already won the Champions League. They played in other finals too, like myself, this is my fifth final.
I believe in everything, because if I don't believe we can win against Barcelona, I will ask the manager not to play me.
Incidentally, Luis Suarez will also take on Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini for the first time since his infamous biting incident during last summer's World Cup.
