Everton were knocked out of the EFL Cup this evening, after losing on penalties to Fulham in their quarter-final match-up at Goodison Park.
Michael Keane had opened the scoring for Fulham with an own-goal in the 41st minute, before Gomas Betuncal levelled the game after 82 minutes.
With no extra-time, the match went straight to penalties, and after Everton had scored their first four and Fulham had missed one, Amadou Onana stepped up to send Everton through to the semis.

What he did next was a dainty hop skip up to the ball, before placing it meagrely to the left of the Fulham keeper.
The pathetic attempt was in stark contrast to one taken by his manager Sean Dyche, and one would fear for the player having to face the fiery, old-school Dyche.

Onana is going be murdered by Dyche for that penalty.

Onana taking the 5th penalty sums him up completely, he just wanted the glory! He probably had his celebration ready walking down to take it. I hope Dyche and the team give him so much s**t for that

"It is incredible what the players have been doing, with our support and management," Fulham manager Marco Silva said after the game.
"We wanted to make history in this football club, it is a serious approach in this competition and not just tonight.
"We did change four or five players from the last game, tonight we knew it was going to be very tough as Everton are in a good moment.
"I know how difficult it is when you come here even when we scored the first goal they [Everton fans] do not stop supporting their team.
"A lot of pressure, we knew before the match we was going to face high pressure all the time. In the first half we did better than we did in the second half."
