Argentine and Real Madrid legend, Alfredo Di Stefano has sadly passed away at the age of 88. Widely lauded as one of the best players of all time, tributes for 'Saeta Rubia', (the blonde arrow) have been pouring in.
Greats from across the game have paid their respects to the man regarded by Luis Suarez among many others, as the most complete footballer of all time. Marca devoted their entire front page to the image of Di Stefano waving goodbye in his famous no.9 shirt, and Cristiano Ronaldo paid an emotive tribute to the 'maestro'.
Perhaps the best eulogy however came from fellow Argentinian Diego Maradona, who managed to slip in a dig at long time rival, Pele.
Maradona on Di Stefano: "I don't know if I was a better player than Pele but I can say without doubt that Di Stefano was better than Pele."
