It's been a bad week for the best player in the World, as Lionel Messi has been taking criticism from all angles following Argentina's penalty shootout loss to Chile in the final of Copa America.

Messi scored his penalty in the shootout, be was ineffective during the 120 minutes of football that preceeded that, and some Argentinians are focusing their frustration at being beaten in two major finals in the space of a year directly at their captain.

The last place Messi would have expected to take some stick would have been from his own family, but unfortunately for him that too has happened as for some reason his own grandfather was asked on Argentinian radio what he thought about his performances:

Some of him was there.

Triumphs are the greatest things there are. But the last three games he was bad. He was lazy.

Ouch.

Messi has been rumoured to be considering taking a break from international football due to the pressure put on him when the team under-performs, and could you blame him?
