Evan Ferguson got his Premier League campaign off to the perfect start yesterday afternoon scoring in Brighton's 4-1 victory over newly promoted Luton Town.
Despite the 18-year-old Irish sensation failing to make Roberto de Zerbi's starting eleven he certainly made an impressive impact when introduced with just over ten minutes to go of normal time.
Ferguson's tap in for the Seagulls' final goal was a fitting reward for his strong cameo appearance.
The Meath man is certainly someone who people are taking significant notice to, with Gary Lineker suggesting that Tottenham Hotspur should look to sign him as a replacement for Harry Kane, describing him as a "born goal scorer."
Kane's move to Bayern Munich was confirmed on Saturday morning, with the English striker signing a four-year deal, on the eve of Spurs' opening match against Brentford this afternoon.
On last night's Match of the Day, Micah Richards and Alan Shearer heaped praise on Ferguson, who they seem to believe is going to continue to do great things in his career.
Has @GaryLineker just recommended a Harry Kane replacement to @SpursOfficial? 👀

MOTD pundits laud Evan Ferguson
"Ferguson's going to be a real star," Richards said.
"He's a superstar. There's something in his play, he's so mature the way he links up, takes his chances. Everything about him I love.
"What a baller. He's natural."
Shearer then weighed in after Lineker asked him whether Tottenham should make a move for him.
"I love everything about him from what I've seen," the Premier League's record goal scorer added.
"The hold up play, his desire to get into the box, his strenght - very impressive."
Having seen Alexis Mac Allister already depart and Moisés Caicedo seemingly all set to sign for Chelsea, Brighton would naturally be unwilling to let Ferguson depart unless the fee was massive.
They will hope to keep hold of him for at least another season, however it feels like a big move for the striker is pending.
