This lad is a huge prospect.
Evan Ferguson made waves a couple of years ago when he made his way into the Bohemians first team as a 14-year old. Playing men's football at that age is no mean feat, hinting that the forward was set to have a big future in the game.
It was not surprising when his exploits soon began to draw interest from across the water.
All of the big clubs in England were linked with him, but the player himself ultimately opted for a move to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The south coast club have forged strong links with Ireland in recent years, bringing a large number of players from these shores into their academy. The likes of Aaron Connolly and Jayson Molumby are two of the most well-known examples, with youngsters such as Leigh Kavanagh and Warren O'Hora also coming through their youth system.
It was uncertain what level Ferguson would take part in after moving to the club in January, but the 16-year old was thrown straight in at the deep end with Brighton's U23 side.
He has since flourished, acting as their first choice striker. He also bagged a very impressive brace yesterday against Liverpool.
His first goal was an excellent one, reacting first to a loose pass from an opposition defender before finishing beautifully into the top corner.
Ferguson's second was a real poacher's finish, peeling away to the edge of the six yard box before tucking away the cross from his teammate.
You can watch the goals at 0:02 and 2:10 in the video below.

Unfortunately for Brighton, they would concede two late goals as they fell to a 3-2 defeat.
Ferguson has featured for Ireland up to U17 level, but we imagine he will quickly progress through the age groups if he can maintain this form.
He is one to keep an eye on in the coming months.
