Evan Ferguson's future in England has perhaps never felt so uncertain, with the Irishman repeatedly linked with a move away from Brighton in recent weeks.
20-year-old Ferguson burst onto the scene during his first Premier League campaign with Brighton two years ago, with a maiden goal against Arsenal setting the tone for a blistering first 12 months in the top flight.
The 12 months that have followed, however, have been blighted by injury, and the highly-rated striker has been overtaken by veteran Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro, and a host of young talent in the forward department for the Seagulls.
Ferguson has now been absent from three successive Brighton matchday squads, and it appears increasingly likely that a January loan move is on the cards.
Reports in the UK suggest that he could be set to secure a Premier League move, with high-flying Bournemouth seeing him as the solution to their injury woes.

Evan Ferguson linked with January loan move to Bournemouth
Bournemouth have been among the Premier League's most impressive sides this season, with Andoni Iraola's side sitting 7th, just one point behind ailing champions Manchester City.
They have claimed memorable wins this season against City, Arsenal, Spurs Manchester United, and their position in the table has been thanks in no small part to the efforts of Justin Kluivert and Evanilson up front.
However, Iraola's side have been dealt a blow with Evanilson fracturing his metatarsal during Saturday's win over Everton. The Brazilian has contributed five goals to Bournemouth's efforts this season, as well as leading the line of Iraola's aggressive pressing system.
With Bournemouth eager to replace his goals, the Guardian's Jacob Steinberg suggests that the Cherries have already contacted Brighton about a loan move for Irishman Evan Ferguson.
However, the report continues that Brighton are uncertain on whether to allow Ferguson to depart. The Irishman remains highly-rated at the club and, with Danny Welbeck injured, more cover could be required up front.
Ferguson has scored just once in the Premier League this season, though he has struggled for game time as he seeks to regain his sharpness after a lengthy injury layoff.
It appears clear that he will struggle for regular minutes at Brighton, given the Seagulls' depth in attacking areas. On paper, Bournemouth would appear to be a strong location for Ferguson to consider, given their high-flying position in the Premier League. They currently sit three places above Brighton in the table.
Bournemouth are not the only side to have been linked with Evan Ferguson, with West Ham heavily touted as a potential destination in recent weeks. Arsenal are also rumoured to be interested in Ferguson, while recent reports have even linked German side Stuttgart with a move.
Wherever Evan Ferguson ends up, it would appear a move away from Brighton is the best way for him to ensure he gets back to full match sharpness and rediscovers the form that had fans so excited when he burst onto the scene.
