When is the EURO 2024 draw?
The draw is this Sunday at 11am in Frankfurt, Germany.

The draw will be shown live on RTÉ Two and RTÉ Player with coverage starting at the same time.
Seeding Pots For The EURO 2024 Draw
The EURO 2024 draw will have 7 different pots consisting of teams ranked by their performances in the Nations League. The strongest nations are in Pot 1 with the weakest nations in Pot 7. There is also a unique Nations League Pot made up of the teams that contest the competitions' semifinals.

Stephen Kenny's side is in pot 3 so he'll be hoping to get an easy draw and avoid the big teams from the higher pots. Germany is not included as it is the host of the tournament and therefore already qualified. Russia has been disqualified due to its ongoing invasion of Ukraine.

Draw Procedure
The EURO 2024 draw will begin with the Nations League pot and pot 1. Then it will go through each pot from pot 2 to pot 6 and so on.
Once a team is drawn from a pot it will be allocated in alphabetical order to groups A-J. The only exceptions to this rule is the Nations League pot and pot 1. Teams in the UNL pot will be allocated to only groups A - D to give them time to play the competition's semifinal and final as these groups only have 5 teams. Subsequently the teams in pot 2 will be placed in groups E - J.
When does qualifying start?
The first qualifying round starts on the 23rd of March next year with the rest of the qualifiers spread across 2023 with the last of them being on the 21st of November. For teams that didn't qualify directly, the play-offs will begin on the 21st of March 2024.

Nations League Qualifiers
The Nations League has another say in the qualifying campaign for the tournament. Three of the 24 places at the future European Championship will be based on the play offs via the 2022/23 edition of the Nations League. The 12 best performers in the tournament who have not already progressed through the qualifiers will be placed in three different play-offs with a semi final and final. Stephen Kenny's side will be hoping to perform better next time out to take advantage of this new rule.
