Alan Sugar has always been an outspoken person, and his social media account is known to feature repellent attempts at humour. The Women's European Championships have been on the radar of the self-made millionaire, who has been tweeting about the lack of male commentators and broadcasters working on the BBC for Euro 2022.
The star of The Apprentice has been making attention-seeking contributions to social media discourse on the tournament since the weekend, like this.
I am watching the women football and notice that ALL the comentators are women. I also note when mens football is on there is a symobilic female comentator to cover the broadcasters arse. Should I complain there should me a male commentator in women's football

On Monday night, John Arne Riise, Jonas Eidevall and Ian Wright were on punditry duty for England's big win over Norway. Alan Sugar actually believed that his tweet was the reason why the BBC drafted in the former male footballers and he replied to his previous tweet with yet another strange take on the situation.
I was pleased to see my old mate Ian Wright was given the opportunity to commentate on the ladies game last night. I wonder if my earlier tweet below touched a nerve. Of course BBC sport will say not at all, Ian was already lined up for it @IanWright0 https://t.co/WgYGjWXWK4

Ian Wright reacts to Alan Sugar's tweets about Euro 2022
Ian Wright was quick to reply to the former Spurs owner and he didn't hold back.
Wright said this in a video on Tuesday morning:
"Alan the thing is my friend, rather than just say 'I got it wrong, lots of men are working at all levels of the tournament', you doubled down on some complete f*cking foolishness. So in your mind you actually thought after you sent that tweet that the BBC phoned me up nevermind the fact that we've been getting ready to do this for a year, I've been booked for a year. You genuinely think they called me up and said "Ian, you've got to get back from Germany ASAP. Alan Sugar has tweeted and we can't upset him. We need to get you on.
The former England and Arsenal striker went on the sarcastically mock Alan Sugar over his tweets saying:
"Do you genuinely believe that that happened because I need to know. Because that says to me, my god your ego is totally out of control. Where's the people around you to hug you bro? You need some hugs man. Look at you coming on here, on Twitter for attention. It's laughable, stop doing it to yourself. But I got to say, thank you, thank you man for that tweet because if it wasn't for you I would've missed one of the greatest ever England games that's ever been played. The thing is all seriousness, I'm glad you're watching and the only thing you can find fault with, doesn't even exist. I sit in these rooms with ex players belittling the women's game all the time. I'm so glad it annoys you and all of them. Can I just say, I hope you enjoy the rest of the tournament. Can you please tweet again so I can work Friday? "

BBC Commentator calls out Alan Sugar
Sugar's dumb tweets were also referred to during the commentary of England v Norway last night. The BBC commentator for the game was Robyn Cowen and she made a passing remark, calling out Alan Sugar during the second half of the game, after mentioning Arsenal women's manager Jonas Eidevall was in the BBC punditry box last night.
Cowen said:
"That's a lovely shot of one of the studio guests, Jonas Eidevall, one of the symbolic men. Good evening Lord Sugar."
