Today's the day, it's time to log into anytime banking and have a look at the withdrawals.
An official statement was released by the FAI on Thursday night alerting those who applied for tickets through the UEFA Euro 2016 ticketing portal to the fact that payments are now being processed for successful applicants:
From tomorrow morning, UEFA plan to start taking payments from successful Euro 2016 ticket applications.
We would like to advise all applicants to check with your bank that there are sufficient funds on your credit/debit card, or to raise the credit limit per transaction accordingly.
If you have agreed to accept tickets in other categories, this may increase the total amount to be paid for your tickets. All applicants will be informed of their final status by 29 February at the latest.
It appears as though the withdrawal of funds from one's bank account is the only way to tell if an application has been successful, but nevertheless, the first batch of Irish fans who have broken the norm and celebrated the depletion of their funds are starting to emerge:

But it's not all good news, some Irish fans are seriously sweating and with no clear indication of when the process will be completed the panic is beginning to set in:

It would appear I did not get Euro 2016 tickets but I'm kind of okay with that because it means I won't be poor this summer
