A coach with an Ethiopian Premier League team was fired after he was involved in some disgusting scenes earlier this week.
Defense were drawing 1-1 with Welwalo Adigrat when the referee allowed a contentious goal. The Welwalo Adigrat goalkeeper fumbled the ball towards the goal line and the referee awarded a goal for Defense. Welwalo Adigrat disagreed with the decision.
The referee was subsequently chased off the pitch where he attempted to defend himself with the corner flag before falling to the ground. While on the ground, he was punched by the coach.
According to the BBC, all games in the league have been suspended.
