There's been many tiffs and tense moments between football managers and members of the media in recent years, and Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is the latest to be involved in the tension.
Many would argue that facing criticism and the wrath of the press at times is part of the game at the highest level - especially when your side is underperforming. Even with his side showing woefully unpredictable form all season, it seems as though Ten Hag has now decided he has had enough
Judging by Wednesday night's evidence, it seems as though the Dutchman is prepared to cut ties altogether
Erik ten Hag refuses to speak to a number of journalists
The Telegraph reported today that during last night's post match press conference, the club and manager dismissed questions from journalists who were critical of him and his side after the FA Cup semifinal performance against Coventry.

After blowing a 3-0 lead in the second-half, the Red Devils managed to squeeze past their Championship opponents on penalties, but many were calling for ten Hag to be sacked as the collapse was unfolding.
Ahead of Wednesday night's clash with Sheffield United, Erik ten Hag branded his critics a 'disgrace' and 'embarrassing'.
Ten Hag's anger continued and one of the journalists who was allowed into the press conference but denied the opportunity to speak to the manager was Manchester Evening News United reporter Samuel Luckhurst.
During the calamitous second half showing against Coventry, Luckhurst tweeted:
Ten Hag cannot survive this. He has to go ASAP.
It's not the first time Luckhurst has faced the wrath of the Manchester United manager. Before Christmas, the club banned four media outlets from attending press events, with Luckhurst one of the blacklisted names.
Journalists from Sky Sports, ESPN, Manchester Evening News and The Mirror were excluded after reporting that players weren't happy with Erik ten Hag behind closed doors.
After hearing of the ban, Luckhurst took to X to express his views.
I pointed out existing and probable dressing problems to #mufc – they banned me.
While banning established and often local reporters has been used by ten Hag for the short term, surely this cannot be a permanent measure.
Despite the underwhelming performance for the club, last night's win means that the club remain in 6th place and on-course for European football next season.
