For the first half of the 2014/15 season, Eoin Doyle was one of the most prolific strikers in English football.
Playing for Chesterfield in League One, the Dubliner scored 22 times before making a move to the Championship with Cardiff. There his goals to games ratio would diminish.
During that January transfer window, Doyle was highly-coveted, being linked with nine clubs - including Celtic.
At the start of last season, Doyle was loaned out to fellow Championship side Preston. Making 28 appearances in total last season, 15 of them starts. The ex-League of Ireland striker - he played for Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers - scored four times.
Today, Doyle made his move to Preston permanent, for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal with the club.
