We've been captivated by the Star Sixes tournament in the office. After pining for so long for the return of Masters football, this is the best effort we've had in a long time.
In case you haven't seen it, 12 countries have each put together a 10-man squad of legends for a six-a-side tournament in London. Split into three groups with the top two from each group go through. The two best third placed sides will also advance to the quarter-finals.
Group A's matches yesterday featured a feisty rivalry - England vs Scotland. Barry Ferguson, Steven Gerrard, Don Hutchinson and Lee Hendrie were amongst the stars on the pitch.
Michael Owen won and subsequently converted a penalty to give the Three Lions a 1-0 lead. He doubled England's advantage a couple of minutes later after a slick passing move.
After that, it got a little bit feisty. Emile Heskey was front and centre, first being chopped down by Paul Dickov.
Dickov would then clatter into Steven Gerrard a minute later.
Former Celtic and Hearts striker Mark Burchill pulled one back for the Tartan Army. As they chased the game, the atmosphere and intensity went up a few levels. Dickov had two reasonable claims for penalties turned down in the space of ten seconds - before the tackles really started flying in.
It's true - England and Scotland really do hate each other!
The Star Sixes started on Thursday and really has a star studded line up. England were hammered 4-1 by Spain in their first game after a Luis Garcia brace. Scotland had beaten Mexico.
The tournament continues today at London's 02 Arena. Today's action sees Juninho vs Yakubu as Brazil take on Nigeria, Italy playing China, France against Denmark and Germany facing Portugal. Alongside the final Group A matches.
Let's hope the tackles keep coming flying in!
