Former Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba has an interview with Emmanuel Adebayor in the Daily Express today.
After discussing his part in one of the worst defensive walls ever seen in football, Adebayor opens up on his time at Man City when Roberto Mancini first arrived.
The Italian was concerned about Adebayor's goalscoring record and wanted to bring in Mario Balotelli.
So what was the Togolese striker's response, did he tell the manager that he was going to pull up his socks and prove himself in training? No, he told Mancini to Google him.
Mancini always had his way and then whenever he went into the club he was, like, I don't want you. I want Balotelli to come and play for me because your scoring rate is not that good. I thought, OK, maybe you are talking about another Adebayor. I told him to go on the internet.
That is what he told me. That my score ratio was not good enough to play for Manchester City. I was, 'OK, if that's the case, just Google me.' Go on the internet.

Did it work? Adebayor scored eight goals in the Premier League under Mancini that season, so maybe it had a temporary effect. He was out the door on loan to Real Madrid in January of the following season though.
