It was an easy night for Celtic in the second leg of their Champions League qualifying match against FC Alashkert. The Hoops ran out comfortable 3-0 winners in Celtic Park despite having Jozo Simunovic sent off after only 11 minutes of the first half for a high boot.
The first goal came on seven minutes when Moussa Dembele stumbled past a couple of would be challengers before lashing the ball home in the box:
The second goal came from the penalty spot, and again the culprit was Moussa Dembele, sending the Alashkert keeper the wrong way to double his side's advantage.
The third and best Celtic strike came courtesy of James Forrest who fired home from the edge of the box following a quick counter:
The result means that Celtic progress to the second round of qualifying, winning 6-0 on aggregate.
The Bhoys will now face Norweigan outfit Rosenborg after a controversial last minute penalty by Arsenal misfit Niklas Bendtner gave them a 3-2 aggregate win over Iceland's Valur Reykjavik:
Brendan Rodgers may have to face Lord Bendtner and co. with out star forward Moussa Dembele, with the French striker pulling up with a hamstring problem in the second half.
Rosenborg will play Celtic next week, with the return led in Norway the following week.
