When Eduardo Salvio moved to Atletico Madrid in 2010, things looked set for him to become the next great Argentine star. Precocious, devilishly quick and extremely talented, Salvio looked set to follow in Sergio Aguero's footsteps and become a top quality player in Madrid.
For one reason or another, it never fully worked out for him. He moved on to Benfica in a move that could have signalled his descent towards second rate footballer who was destined to move back to Argentina stamped 'not quite good enough'.
However, he's regrouped in the slightly more forgiving surroundings of the Portuguese League and is once again being linked with a move to Europe's top leagues with Liverpool in particular being regularly linked with the 24 year old.
If he can keep showing the kind of ability he displayed against Nacional on Saturday, then Liverpool may not be the only team linked with him.
Granted it didn't lead to a goal but he did have two assists in the 3-1 win so we'll forgive him that. Here's a closer look.
