Former Arsenal midfielder Edu is set to become the club's technical director.
According to a report in Edu's native Brazil, the 40-year-old has accepted an offer from the club which will see him join on a five-year deal.
Edu spent five seasons with Arsenal between 2001 and 2005. That included being part of the Invincibles side which won the league and went unbeaten in 2003/4.
After retiring in 2011, Edu became Director of Football with Corinthians. He subsequently became general manager with the Brazilian national team.
It's said that Edu will take up the new role following this summer's Copa America. The tournament finishes on July 7th.
Arsenal have been searching for a technical director following the departure of Sven Mislintat as head of recruitment in February.
