It was a Saturday to forget for Barnet player-manager Edgar Davids as his side lost 3-2 to Accrington Stanley and Davids was sent off for two yellow cards. Some Barnet fans had an even worse day as they're bus broke down on the side of the road on the way home. Luckily for the fans Davids and the first team drove by and after dropping the team off at a petrol station Davids returned for the stranded fans.
The coach driver explained that Davids had asked to drop all the players off at the next services before going back to collect the fans where they could wait in the warmth of the service station. A gloomy day for Bees fans was given a silver lining as the players gladly chatted to supporters and posed for photos until a replacement coach arrived to transport the fans home.
If only all managers could have a similar relationship with their supporters.
