This is all very thoughtless of Eden Hazard. Last year's player of the season has limped through this season like a disinterested teenager, going almost the full season without scoring a single goal. The crucial word in that sentence is almost. With Chelsea's season effectively over in the past month, Hazard has suddenly burst into form, with four goals in his last four games, the fourth of which was a beautiful individual slaloming effort at Anfield this evening.
Conspiracy theorists may wager that this return of form may have something to do with the looming transfer window, although us fretful Irish fans know the truth: Hazard has taken the season off top conserve precious energy for the sizeable task of the Republic of Ireland in the Euros.
Eden Hazard coming into really good form just before we face them in the Euros 🙈

So, that was Eden Hazard's thinking all season....keep yourself fresh for the Euros and only start playing at the end of April

Proper weird how Eden Hazard's form has suddenly improved in time for the Euros.

Yikes. Just saw the Hazard goal. Really wonderful bit of skill and lively finish. His return to form of late is a bit of a concern.

He's well rested anyway, not having tried an ounce all season https://t.co/ts0RLXL78j

Dastardly stuff, Eden.
