Eamonn Holmes, the Belfast-born Sky News presenter, and Alex Ferguson are good buds. The two recently teamed up for a celebrity edition of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Host of Sirius XM's Beyond the Pitch radio show Pilib de Brún interviewed Holmes today and got a few interesting bits from a conversation which the Irishman had with Fergie.

The former manager will again have a say in who the next man in charge at Old Trafford will be.
It would seem that Ryan Giggs is viewed as the long-term option by the club with him being taken under the wing of a more experienced manager in the short-term. The 62-year-old Louis van Gaal would fit that perfectly.

Fergie also seemed to attempt to assuage the blame placed on him for the appointment of David Moyes.
