Eamon Dunphy was on the John Murray Show on Radio One this morning and once he was done talking about Bubbles O'Dwyer's missed "free kick" at the end of yesterday's drawn All-Ireland final and how GAA players earn nothing but some Irish footballers own two Ferraris, he got onto talking about Martin O'Neill's interview with Tony O'Donoghue.
It got a little antsy between the two following yesterday's win over Georgia and John Murray asked Dunphy about the encounter. The RTÉ analyst defended his colleague saying that he felt O'Neill was "completely out of order" adding later that the Ireland manager should "grow up".
Dunphy also said that Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane should look to the GAA for example on how to deal with the media. Given Armagh's media boycott this summer maybe it isn't where the Irish management team should be looking to for guidance.
