Over the course of this World Cup one thing has become abundantly clear to RTE viewers; Eamon Dunphy wants to have Marouane Fellaini's children.

During the last Belgian game against Japan, the RTE pundit made his feelings known for the 30-year-old, calling the midfielder 'a remarkable nuisance':

He’s a real warrior. He gets stuck in and he’s got skill. He’s so honest and sticks at the task. He’s a remarkable nuisance, and I mean that in a complimentary way.

You’d hate to have him playing against you. He’s amazing and someone I really admire.

In the lead up to Belgium's semi-final against France, Dunphy was similarly effusive in his praise for the player and damned near ran out of superlatives to describe the lanky streak of footballer.

The words 'hero', 'indispensable', 'magnificent' and 'beautiful nuisance' were bandied about the RTE studio with carefree abandon by the 72-year-old and Dunphy even went so far as to say he loved the player.

The lengths at which Eamon Dunphy was prepared to go to in order to praise the Belgian had a lot of viewers at home wondering what had gotten into the pundit:
