After his last threat to wear a dress fell through, Eamon Dunphy has been at it again on Radio 1. RTÉ's world football genius-in-chief was having a chat with Des Cahill when he suggested that if Brazil win the World Cup he'll slip into a nice frock.
It's only been a couple of weeks since Dunphy last suggested he'd wear a dress if England made it to the quarter finals. Obviously that didn't happen but the thrill must have been too much for Dunphy to resist having another wager. Not only did he feel the need to make the suggestion, but he painted a nice little mental picture for everyone.
Dunphy: Brazil? Zero Chance. If they win I'm putting my dress on. You can take me out to dinner.
Cahill: Out of curiosity, have you selected your dress yet?
Dunphy: I have, it's a black lacy job. It's all arranged.
Cahill: I got a tingle on my spine there, I don't know why.
Dunphy: Maybe we should both go see somebody.
Cahill: Okay, suddenly I'm rooting for Brazil.
It's not as if anyone is goading him into these things. We blame RTÉ for giving him a platform to air these threats to the nation.
