Just when you thought this internet fad had run its course, it gives us this gift today. Ladies and gentlemen bare witness to Eamon Dunphy taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge in all its glory.

There are two things to take away from this video. Firstly, there's a lot of Irish Daily Star branded items. Dunphy is togged out in a polo shirt and baseball cap embroidered with the tabloid's logo, the icy receptacle of doom used is a massive red Irish Daily Star bucket, there is an Irish Daily Star poster in the background and the man who pours the liquid over Dunphy's head is a journalist... with the Irish Daily Star.

Secondly, it is apparent that Dunphy has beaten the system. The peaked cap worn by the broadcasting stalwart acted as a sort of umbrella, meaning that the front of his body avoided most of the freezing slush. Why has no one thought of this before?

Dunphy was called out by Irish international Glenn Whelan. The Stoke City veteran vowed to donate £5,000 to Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin if the 69-year-old RTE pundit accepted. You can see Whelan's Ice Bucket Challenge, complete with the Dunphy call out below.
