It took a little less than an hour between Aston Villa confirming the departure of Tim Sherwood and the first potential replacement announcing their interest in the job.
Former Villa striker, and the man responsible for brightening up Sky Sports' studios with some flashy suits - Dwight Yorke is the man that has thrown his name into the hat. It would represent a first foray into management for Yorke - but it does highlight the challenge that Villa could be facing if they want a proven manager to take them out of the mire.
Dwight Yorke tells beIN Sports 'I want the Villa job. I've worked for some top guys & that club means a lot to me. I'd like to give it a go'

Despite Yorke being the only name to confirm his interest, he isn't listed with the bookmakers as a contender for the job. That list includes next manager market favourites like Roy Keane (10/1), Mick McCarthy (16/1), Alan Curbishley (20/1), Andre Villas Boas (18/1).
Former Everton and Manchester United, and current Real Soceidad David Moyes is the odds on favourite for the job at 4/6, while recently sacked Brendan Rodgers is also available at 11/2.
Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane is 10/1 to rejoin Villa, and Ireland manager Martin O'Neill is 66/1.
