The Euro 2016 final marked Johnny Giles last night on the RTÉ panel. Though, don't be surprised to see him pop up on TV3 or Setanta as some stage.
Eamon Dunphy and Giles have worked together as part of RTÉ football analysis team for more than 25 years. After RTÉ had broadcast a superb tribute to Giles, Dunphy had his say of his colleague.
Dunphy refused to talk about Giles' qualities in the past tense. He still believes him to be a pundit of substance and also 'The greatest football man we've ever had.'

Liam Brady also had a few words to say about Giles. Brady has both played with Giles on the pitch and been under him as a manager. Also, as Brady relates, they've enjoyed the odd night out too.
