Celtic are showing no ill-effects following the ending of their incredible unbeaten record, and easily dispatched Dundee 2-0 today to go 11 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen. Celtic were ahead within the first eight minutes: James Forrest finishing off a beautifully slick team move.
Dundee v Celtic Highlights
It was 2-0 just before the break, Leigh Griffiths rifling home Oliver Ntcham's pass:
After the game, Brendan Rodgers was quizzed about the future of Moussa Dembele. It was reported in numerous places yesterday morning that he had agreed a £18 million transfer to Brighton. Rodgers told the BBC that there was "nothing" in the speculation.
There's been no contact between the clubs and Moussa is very much still a Celtic player. There is no fee, no bid, there have been no talks.
That said, Rodgers offered no assurances that Dembele would finish the season at Celtic Park.
I can't say that.
I live in the real world of football and you can say things that make you look silly.
Someone might come in with a bid that is an astronomical amount of money for the club and the player and, if the player wants to go, that's modern football.
